Home again

Well, I actually got home yesterday after 3,115 fun filled (well, mostly) kilometres of great riding in the South Island.

My write-up will take me a while to get done but in the mean time here are some maps showing the actual route (more or less) I took on the TT.  If you click on the little bikes (positioned at the various checkpoints) you will see the evidence picture I took there.

  1. More than anything I am blown away by the fact that not only could you do all the k's in only three days, but also stop for all those pics too!! Just seems inconceivable that you would have the time for all of that!

I'm terribly impressed can you tell? :)

Cant wait for the write up.

    1. Thanks Brenda! When I say that I didn't muck around you can believe me...

I planned on photo stops taking me 5mins and fuel 10mins and then tried to beat that...

  2. Holy crap that is a lot of kms. Good job.

Unfortunately the interweb won't let me click on the bikes to see the pics, so I'll just have to wait for the blog posts.

    1. Thanks Brandy, a shame the map doesn't work for you - you'll have to wait for the write-up (yes, I'm working on it).

  4. Sounds like a great ride. I'm looking forward to reading more. We did a 5542 mile 16 day ride in July. I thought I would post about the ride each day. It didn't take too long to figure out that was hard to do. Another blogger said they tried doing that too but at the end of the day you need to rest body and mind. So I decided to wait and just take notes each day. Here is that ride...
