It started lasting longer and longer. I'd have to shut the bike off and restart it a few times to get it to stop. So I changed out the factory automatic tensioner for a manual one from APE. Very quiet now whether on a cold start or hot. From what I read around the place (and if you can believe it) you guys generally a lot better mileage.<br /><br />Valve clearances have been done twice but not for a while now. You must have quite a few miles on her. I've installed 5 sets of PR2's on my '09 Zx-14, and then changed a rear last summer after I had a flat on a cross country trip. That's in 48,00 miles (77,250 k). Either your roads are much more abrasive, or you're one heck of a hard riding, knee dragging, rider!<br /><br />Have you ever had the valve clearances checked on it? Mine was due at 26,000 miles and my mileage is almost double that and I still haven't had them looked at yet.
