Spoke to a guy on a Beemer one day and he had metal and plastic (two different bikes in two different countries) and he said he'd take plastic over metal too. He reckoned that plastic often bounced back after a knock whereas the "stronger" metals ones would be bent and buckled.

Hope you're not looking at Triumphs...Andrew Thomsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00716829007873864871noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35229604.post-86696233258248974782017-03-24T17:01:19.423+13:002017-03-24T17:01:19.423+13:00Thanks Andrew. The panniers are fairly chocker but I try to keep the top box only about half full so there's room for a jersey to live or for stuff you pick up along the way.

They are Givi stuff which came with the bike. Plastic with a bit of Adv styling.

There are threads all over the internet discussing the merits of soft, plastic and alloy bags - everyone has their own opinion. I like hard stuff because it's easy to chuck stuff in and they are secure.

The racks that my panniers go on are removable too - really like that feature!Andrew Thomsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00716829007873864871noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35229604.post-48999449539472078682017-03-23T22:26:43.508+13:002017-03-23T22:26:43.508+13:00Pretty country there Andrew.

I am thinking about picking up an adventure bike and was wondering what brand your luggage is and if you are happy with it?Flyboyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11304812333120293988noreply@blogger.com
