My butt is sore just thinking about the miles you put on in 8 days, but the views were stunning. Sounds like you handled the tyre issue and weather just fine.
I think I would have went in search of the farmer with the string across the road though and had a few choice words for him. You must have a lot of "open range" there where the cattle are allowed on the roads with no fences.
My butt got a little sore too...Saw some great country alright.
Not open range farming, he was using the string to allow his cattle to cross the road - farm split by the road. Pretty common practice but generally there is people out on the road directing things when they are moving the stock. He just never took down the string - I should have chopped it into little pieces...
Now that's what I call a decent ride Andrew - well done mate! Pity I didn't know when you were on our patch or I'd have offered you lunch! Different beasts I know but any strong preference for riding the Yam or Kawasaki?
You shoulda been there Geoff - maybe in 2018? Yeah, I wasn't quite sure when I'd hit your neck of the woods so didn't want to make plans that might fall apart. I did look out for the flash of big Suzy but didn't spot one...
Hmmmmm, a few people have been asking about Connie vs Tenere. Perhaps I need to put some thought to that and then string some words together...Basically, they pretty much do the same job but the Tenere can handle anything you chuck at it road wise while the Connie is ultimately a more relaxed cruise missile...
absolutely great write up and pictures to go along with the ride sorry the tyre changed the plans a bit but thats the way of travelling sometimes also pity the weather mat have been kinder to you for all the trip
Wow. I bow down - "we're not worthy"

Thanks for that. Something usually happens on the Four Points to throw a small spanner in the works...
