Folker

 Great to hear this podcast.

Folker is a great old chap that has done a lot of long distance riding on one or the other of his Beemers.  Mark and I used to catch up with him on Southern Cross Rallys and Grand Challenges (he was doing them well into his 70's) and I'm sure that Geoff knows him too.

He knows how to pedal his bikes (and definitely how to keep them running) fairly well and has been known to get along at times.  I won't share any incriminating stories but he did pass me on the outside on the Tahora Saddle (Forgotten Highway) one day.  I was probably on the Connie...

I happy to be an FB friend of his too and he definitely is still out there cruising hooning around the place.

Anyway, here's the podcast and I really hope I'm able to be doing what he's still doing at his age!

Mark's Famous!

Yep, got another photo published in the Two Wheels (May edition). This time it was my pic of Mark on the Milford Road taken after the 2007 Southern Cross.

Must send them in some more recent pics...

On Any Sunday

Yep, made it into Two Wheels again! Piccy taken at the lookout half way up Coronet Peak, Queenstown on the way home from the 2007 Southern Cross.

Concours in Kiwi Rider

Seem to be getting a bit of a collection of mags with The Bike in them! Good to see that it got a good review.

Concours in Bike Rider

Spotted a familiar looking bike on the cover of Bike Rider Magazine at the supermarket so thought I better add it to the collection.

Like the last sentence of the article, "For my money, the Concours 14 is now the mile-muncher supreme".

Also an ad on opposite page with them priced at $23,995, but also in the mag an ad for the FJR at $24,995 - easy choice to make eh?

Shutterbug - again!

Yep, two months in a row Two Wheels have published a photo of mine. Glad they like my pics - this one was taken at the Murapara Dam on the 2006 Rusty Nut's Grand Challenge.

Concours in Two Wheels

I've just picked up the August copy of Two Wheels and they've got an article on the launch of the Concours. I won't go into any detail here but they seem to think pretty good things about it. They've also got a comparison test of the new Bandit vs the Yamaha XJR1300 with the Bandit coming out on top.

Shutterbug

Just picked up the July Two Wheels and they've published another one of my photos - that makes three now. This one was taken on the Manawatu Ulysees Four Points Compass Ride and was taken on the East Cape road just above Hicks Bay.
