Thinking of doing the Manawatu 4 Points Compass Rally again this year. It works a bit like the Southern Cross except that it is only on the North Island, you get oodles of time to complete it in and it is a poker rally so there's the chance of a prize at the end.

It's run every second year and so far I've only done one (write-up here) because it is on at the same time as the Grand Challenge so makes for a fair bit of riding in a pretty short space of time. I've pretty much decided that I'll be doing the GC again this year (so that I get my ninth year bar this year and therefore my 10th next year on the 25th anniversary of the GC) so it means I've got a bit of riding to do in October...
