Happy New Year

Not a bad day here today.  Got in my first ride of the New Year by heading up to the farm to catch up with nieces, nephews and others.  Also got to try out my new camera - I've got some learning to do on how to drive it but happy with it so far.


The ride itself was just a very quiet cruise (cops out for blood at the moment) which ended up giving me great economy (18.5km/l).  Very warm on the way back, all the vents in my gear open but my tongue was still pretty dry when I got off the bike.

A nice way to start the year off...

      Hi Phil - it's a Nikon. Not a mega-flash one but has got all the bells and whistles that I need.

    Hooray for the first ride of the year. It sounds like a lovely day for a ride.

    We woke to -3˚C temperatures and went for a quick ride, but at least we had sunshine. Brrrr.

    Nice photo. Crisp and clear - you can't go wrong with Nikon.

    Happy New Year! I am almost embarrassed to sy, but I haven't ridden my bike for a week, I was off & hung out at home. It's Los a ltle on the chilly side here as well.

      Thanks. That's Mt Taranaki (formerly Egmont). It was used as a substitute for Mt Fuji in the Last Samarai.
