Glutton for punishment

Every time I change a tyre I run into some little issue and end up saying "never again."

The easy bit...
But, the WR is only a little bike, how hard can it be?

Let's get to work
Turns out it is tricky and tubes can be pinched.  Something to be said for tubeless tyres alright...

Got there in the end
And then tonight.

Remove axle nut and that's it...
Then after much sweating...

No friggin help whatsoever...
Ta da!
With any luck they'll still be up tomorrow and then I can try them in the mud...

Still no help and wondering why we're not inside by the fire...
It's fun, I swear...

  1. Since I picked up a tool called Baja-No-Pinch, installing a tire w/tube takes only a few minutes and no chance of pinching the tube. Well, maybe there is a small chance if you are completely clueless…

    1. I actually (believe it or not) did something clueless...But do know how to do it properly without pinching the tube...

That tool looks ok for out on the road - expensive though!

  2. "Never again" usually comes the morning after drinking the night before, yet we don't learn. I blame poor memory.
Buh bye to the Shinko 705, those look like serious mud tyres, the WR is going to feel like a completely different bike....
Have fun, and make good choices!

    1. Hmmm, I'm going riding with Colin. Not sure if we'll make completely good choices...
